While there is still time left for Trick or Treat, we remember an old-episode back from Halloween 2017 to share with you guys. It’s a flashback story of a hilarious event that happened on Halloween night in the year 2017 – the flashback episode begins with Brittany Selph went in profound labor on the Halloween night, resulting the baby girl being welcomed into the world by none other than Gotham City’s anti-hero himself, The Joker.
Yes, the baby-girl got to see the spookiest night of the year, and what else it could be if not her love for the candy? And Brittany Selph said in an interview that: “My actual due date was on November 5, but on Halloween morning I woke up, and I felt like my water was leaking,” Furthermore, her husband concluded, “My daughter had decided to greet the world a little earlier and in a very novel way.”
Brittany Selph, along with her husband, Justin, rushed to Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tennessee. Where Dr. Paul Locus, an obstetrician, greeted the happy couple with the most unexpected surprise. The doctor had already gotten into the Halloween spirit and was dressed like Heath Ledger’s character, Joker, from “The Dark Knight.”
Brittany’s husband, Justin, said, “We couldn’t help but laugh when he (Dr. Paul Locus) walked in the room. He had his face sufficiently painted, his hair dyed green, and was even wearing The Joker’s iconic green and purple garb.” To everyone’s wonder, Dr. Paul Locus wanted to remove the make-up before delivering the baby, but the duo insisted not to (only to make the moment more special and funny). How lucky for the baby-girl to celebrate the best Halloween while still inside her mother’s womb!
On Dr. Paul Locus’s look, Brittany Selph commented that “I think seeing the doctor dressed as the Joker in the delivery room, it did kind of take away the pain from me, and it was a good laugh which made me feel calm.” Supposedly, Dr. Paul Locus would sometimes speak in The Joker’s voice, much to the expectant parents’ delight. Also, Justin got few chances to get the awesome video until the nurse stopped him.
Did you ever wonder how The Joker would look like while delivering a baby? Well, wonder no more!
Thanks to the help of Dr. Joker, Brittany Selph delivered a healthy baby girl they named Oaklyn. And even after Halloween was over, their cheeky obstetrician kept the hilarious joke going.
One of Dr. Paul Locus’s joke came the very next day when he came to see Brittany, he said, “I am sorry that I couldn’t make it last night. Dr. Joker tells me the delivery went well, Glad to hear that.” He also gave her a card of congratulations, and he signed it as ‘Dr. Joker.’
