No doubt, getting sick is something nobody wants. Especially if there is something that has never happened because then, it feels very much different, and definitely sends warnings to the brain. And you know what’s the worst part of getting sick is – it’s clinics and hospitals – because then several procedures include needles and other stuff which are damn scary, correct? So, yeah – it’s no surprise if people try to use unconventional methods for curing diseases, just like this woman did – drawing her son’s fever out using a potato necklace suggested by her grandmother (I know that sounded weird), but guess WHAT? It worked, leaving the internet facepalming!
A Mother Recently Tweeted About How She Used A POTATO NECKLACE To Draw Out Her Son’s Fever:
Yeah, her son got 102.3-degree fever one day, and the first thing she could remember was of her grandmother’s remedy, putting over a potato necklace. Supposedly, her grandmother was sure that potatoes draw out the fever and turn black due to the contagions absorbed, and as it turns out, that really happened. On her Twitter’s thread, we utterly can see the potato necklace getting oxidized, and the fact did not stop 27K people from supporting the tweet in that manner.
The woman’s tweet combined two pics of her son with a caption, “My granny told me about making a potato necklace to draw out fevers (it turns completely black) and y’all it really works! Nolan’s fever yesterday was 102.3 now he’s at 98.2.”
While it’s great that the fever had fallen and the kid was feeling better the other day, the woman was obvious to the fact that no matter what, the human’s immune system will always try to protect its body against everything that sought to harm it. So, it’s much more intelligent to state that the temperature went down because the immune system did its job. And the potato – it was oxidizing, that’s it!
But The Facts Didn’t Stop The Internet From Facepalming!
Groundless to say, the internet was facepalming left and right at this. While many people made fun of this, others shared other homeopathic therapies passed down by their elders (that may or may not work). Scroll down to find out farther about them:
