I am a little startled to say, but I guess Football is not a great sport (it’s okay). Football is played indoors as well as outdoors, so you not only get to feel crowded with other people in a confined space but also you feel rain or snow during times. And speaking of times, Football is played in the worst months of the year (see again: rain and snow). Plus, the game has so many puzzled rules (I don’t think referees get enough occasions to point out). So basically, Football is not a great sport. However, I felt far, far beyond just okay during Dallas Cowboys versus New York Giants game, because this was no ordinary game – THERE WAS A CAT – A BLACK CAT!
Cats live in the Metlife Stadium is a new fact to me, and I am glad to know that. But usually, the cats wait until after the games to come out of sneaking from wherever they hide, and once the stadium empties, they hang out in the bleachers, and some people even feed them. Well, the scenario was different during the match of Cowboys versus Giants, when a black cat ventured down the field while the game was live. The act put everything on hold, and while both teams, the crowd, and thousands of viewers at home waited for the cat to do its cat business – and the black cat did not disappoint.
The black cat sprinted down the field in a stunning display of agility, and crossed the 2-yard and looked like he was going all the way through, but once he felt all the attention from the players and the cheering crowd – he slowed down and stopped (dramatically). Just before the endzone, he looked behind him as if waiting for another player to help finish the play. But then eventually realizing the game was all on him, and with minutes to spare in the second quarter, he completed his one-cat touchdown.
THE PLAYERS ALONG WITH THE ERUPTED CROWD CHEERED, AND ESPN PRAISED HIS “GREAT LATERAL MOVEMENT.” THE DALLAS COWBOYS BEAT THE NEW YORK GIANTS AFTERWARD, BUT WHO CARES – THERE WAS A BLACK CAT ON THE FEILD!
